Ex Coo Era Thomas Tan Joins Sri Ceo

On December 1, SRI, one of Singapore’s top five real estate agencies, announced the appointment of Thomas Tan as their new CEO. Tan had previously served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ERA Singapore, the second-largest real estate agency by salesforce and part of the listed company, APAC Realty, from July 2021 to March 2023. He then held the position of Chief Learning Officer (CLO) at ERA from March to August 2023.

Before joining ERA, Tan was the CLO at Life Mastery Academy, a course provider for the mandatory Real Estate Salesperson (RES) course for new real estate agents. Life Mastery Academy, which is under PropNex, the largest listed real estate agency in terms of salesforce, is accredited by the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA). Tan had been with Life Mastery for over a year, joining the firm in March 2020.

Tan has an impressive eight years of experience as a director and key executive officer at RE Training & Consultancy (RETC), an estate agency in Singapore, and has served as the president of the Singapore Estate Agents Association (SEAA). He has conducted the Real Estate Salesperson and Continuing Professional Development Courses at RETC and has trained over 10,000 students. Tan was also an associate trainer at Real Centre Network for nine years from 2010 to 2019, and before that, he spent 12 years at Remax Singapore as an executive director.

According to Bruce Lye, co-founder and managing partner of SRI, Tan was already a successful real estate agent at Remax when they first met 17 years ago. Lye believes that Tan’s training and leadership background make him a perfect fit for the role of CEO at SRI. With his expertise, Tan can introduce a training framework tailored to the agents of SRI.
