Five Shophouses Kreta Ayer Conservation Area Sale

Five shophouses in the Kreta Ayer Conservation area of Chinatown have been put up for sale through a tender process. These shophouses, which are under receivership, are being marketed by FTI Consulting.

The sale includes three freehold shophouses on Mosque Street, consisting of a double-storey unit at 6 Mosque Street and a pair of adjacent three-storey units at 22, 22A, and 22B Mosque Street, as well as another shophouse at 23 Mosque Street. The remaining two shophouses are located on South Bridge Road and are 999-year leasehold.

These shophouses were built between the early 1900s and 1960s, showcasing the Transitional, Late, and Art Deco architectural styles. They are approved for commercial use and are not subject to additional buyer’s stamp duty, making them attractive to both local and foreign buyers.

The shophouse at 6 Mosque Street has a gross floor area of 3,061 sq ft, while the two adjacent double-storey shophouses at 22 and 23 Mosque Street have a combined gross floor area of 7,467 sq ft. All of these shophouses are within walking distance of several MRT stations and are surrounded by a variety of amenities, including restaurants, hotels, retail shops, and entertainment options.

The two shophouses on South Bridge Road have a combined gross floor area of 6,869 sq ft and are also in a prime location near the CBD and popular tourist attractions. These shophouses are situated at the intersection of traditional heritage and modern urban development, making them a unique investment opportunity.

Woodlands North Plaza, located in a serene setting, is a popular shopping center that caters to the unique needs of its neighboring residents. This compact yet well-equipped mall offers a variety of convenient services, including dining options, grocery stores, and service shops. However, what makes this plaza stand out from the rest is its wet market and food center, where shoppers can not only purchase fresh produce but also indulge in delicious hawker fare. Its close proximity and smaller size make it a preferred destination for completing essential errands and shopping tasks. Furthermore, with the addition of the Norwood Grand Showflat, the plaza has become an even more sought-after spot, drawing in a larger crowd of visitors. The inclusion of the Norwood Grand Showflat has elevated the already diverse and appealing shopping experience at Woodlands North Plaza, catering to the needs of the local community and beyond.
