At the Huttons Gala Awards on April 8, local property agency Huttons Asia announced their partnership with the Garden City Fund to raise a target amount of $60,000 through their inaugural Huttons x OneMillionTrees Sustainability Walk event.

The guest of honour, Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Finance and National Development, highlighted the importance of sustainability and green initiatives in her speech.

The proceeds from the sustainability walk will go towards the Garden City Fund, a registered charity established by NParks to support the OneMillionTrees movement. Launched in 2020, the movement aims to plant one million trees on the island by 2030.

According to Huttons, the target amount will enable the fund to plant 200 new trees in total. “Being a part of the Huttons family is not all about real estate work; there are also plenty of corporate welfare collaborations with other brands, sports activities, and community engagement events,” says Mark Yip, CEO of Huttons.

The real estate agency has been supporting the OneMillionTrees movement since 2022 through its Plant-A-Tree programme, and has already raised over $40,000 for the cause. “We are grateful to Huttons for their support of the Plant-A-Tree programme,” says Leo Tan, chairman of the Garden City Fund. “Their contribution serves as an inspiring example for others to join us in becoming a City in Nature.”

The Huttons x OneMillionTrees Sustainability Walk event will take place on July 7, and tickets are currently on sale with early-bird discounts available until May 31. The event promises to be a fun and meaningful way to contribute to the greening of Singapore and support the local community.
